Alta Loma, Calif. — Ethel Helen Plummer, age 100 years 9 months, died at her Southern California residence Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018. Cremation at Stone Funeral Home in Upland, Calif., followed her death. Burial will be next to her husband at Colfax Cemetery in Colfax.

Memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Heart Association will be appreciated.

Ethel Plummer was preceded in death by her husband George V. Plummer; her only sibling, her sister, Evelyn Balcom; and both of her parents, Alma Sandvig and Harry J. Sandvig of North Riverside, Ill.

Ethel Plummer was born in Cicero, Ill., March 4, 1918. She moved to California with her husband George in 1952. Ethel attended Chaffee College in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Ethel worked for Kaiser Steel as an executive secretary for 30 years prior to her retirement. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa 04 Jan 2019.
