Robert Alan Fish, 62, died Tuesday, December 25th at UIHC following a brief illness.

Robert was born May 2, 1956 in Omaha, NE, the son of Norman and Bonnie Burgett Fish. He was raised in Newton, Iowa and received a bachelor’s degree in 1979 from the University of Iowa in secondary education speech and drama.

Robert was employed for 37 years at Mercy Iowa City, prior to that he was a substitute teacher in the Iowa City Community Schools.

Survivors include his friend and partner of 42 years, David Alberhasky; three sisters, Barbara (David) Rolph of Wichita, KS, Judy (Mark) Stevens of Newton, and Susan (Doug) Walkup of Des Moines; nieces and nephews, Jeff, Amy, Becky, Jon, Stephen and Justin; great nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William “Larry” Fish. ~ The Lensing Funeral Home, Iowa City/Coralville 25 Dec 2018.
