ALTOONA -- Jennifer Jolene Thomas, 30, of Altoona, formerly of Colfax, died Oct. 13, 2004, at her home.

Joint funeral services for Jennifer and her mother, Jolene K. Cattell, who died on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, will be on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Colfax United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

Visitation for Jennifer will be held on Tuesday after 2 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Jennifer Jolene Thomas Memorial Fund.

The daughter of Larry and Jolene (Prochaska) Thomas, she was born Sept. 13, 1974, in Des Moines. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1992 and also from the Iowa School of Beauty. She married Mark Ayers and lived in Colfax until moving to Altoona in 1997. She worked as a dispatcher at Hawkeye Woodshaving. She was a member of the Colfax United Methodist Church and also loved cats.

She is survived by her husband, Mark; father, Larry Thomas and his wife Debra of Prairie City; sisters, Jessica Thomas of Prairie City and Jennifer Cattell of Pleasant Hill; maternal grandmother, Dorothea Hackathorn and her husband Clifford of Prairie City; paternal grandfather, Arthur G. Thomas of Prairie City; and an aunt.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Betty Thomas, and grandfather Joe Prochaska.
