Nina B. Lust, 82, of Newton died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with her nephews, Michael Taylor and the Rev. Rick Bennett, officiating. Burial will be at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to Hospice of Jasper County and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Francis Albert and Ella Pearl (Hard) Bennett, she was born Feb. 24, 1922, in Newton. On Feb. 24, 1940, she married Hollis L. Lust in Newton. She later married Charles Lust on June 10, 1989, in Newton. She was a homemaker, sold Avon and also worked in the shipping department of Newton Manufacturing Company.

Mrs. Lust was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, quilting, sewing and painting. She was a lifelong resident of Newton.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin "Butch" and Jana Lust of Newton; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Loren "Mike" Mickelson of Newton; a step-son, Larry Lust of Newton; a step-daughter, Mary Ann Hoelscher of Newton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, five brothers and five sisters.
