Jacob Keasy, who for many years was a farmer in the northwestern part of the county, and later a resident of Colfax, died Saturday night at his home in that city.

Mr. Keasy had been afflicted for some time with heart trouble and dropsy. He is survived by his wife and five children, Mrs. Frank Kendig of California; Mrs. Emma Hummerick of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Della Williams of Rock Island, Ill.; Ed Keasy of Colfax and Frank Keasy, whose home is near Ira. All were present at the time of his death.

The funeral will be held in Colfax tomorrow at 2 p.m. ~ The Newton Daily News, Monday, May 6, 1907, Page 1, Column 6
