Andrew Hans, whose death occurred after a brief illness from peritonitis, Thursday morning, was born on the 26th day of January 1888. He was united in marriage to Miss Grace Robinson, May 12, 1897. He leaves besides his wife, a little daughter, Lucille, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hans, who reside southeast of this city, a brother and sister and many friends.

Deceased was a member of the First Evangelical Church of this city, and was sincere and true in all the relationships of this life. To know him was to admire and love him. He had learned, and he lived the simple and contented life. Appreciated and loved in the home and at peace with all mankind.

The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the Lutheran Church was attended by a large number of friends and neighbors. Rev. W. Dieffenbach, his pastor, had charge of the service, speaking comforting words to the sorrowing ones from the text, “The Master is cometh and calleth for thee.” The music was furnished by Mrs. George Davis, Miss Ella Hymes and Messrs C. Sloanaker and Chester Guthrie. The accompanist, Miss Cora Long. The bearers were Bert Beatty, Frank Ogg, W. A. Emmert, Harry Longfellow, John Buchanan and Archie Vieth. ~ The Newton Daily News, Friday, May 3, 1907, Page 1, Column 3
