Farmington (MN) Mable B. Kangas, 77, of Farmington, formerly of Newton, died of cancer, Tuesday, May 2 at her home.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at White Funeral Home in Farmington. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery there. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The daughter of Sylvester and Lula Gilbert Reynolds, she was born Feb. 2, 1923 in Adair. She married Terry Kangas Jan. 27, 1968.
Mrs. Kangas was employed by Bishman Manufacturing in Osseo and was owner of The Chapperal bar in Monticello before retiring.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Karen Mortice; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Roy Underdahl and Janice and Roger Ehnes; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eva Henning and Janice and Bob Pruitt of Tennessee; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Frank Red and Betty Reynolds, Butch and Viola Reynolds and Sylvester, all of Newton; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Mortice; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, per parents, an infant son, four brothers and five sisters.
