Former Jasper Man Dies in Des Moines

William (Bill) Benskin, former Jasper county resident, died of a heart ailment at his home in Des Moines Wednesday morning. Funeral rites will be held at Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and graveside rites at 3 p.m. in Newton Union cemetery. The casket will be opened at the cemetery.

Mr. Benskin formerly farmed near Baxter for a time. He was a railroad employe (sic) in Des Moines. Among his survivors is his wife, the former Lena Wulf. ~ The Newton Daily News (Newton, Iowa), Thursday, September 10, 1953.
