Mrs. Henry Irvine, who has been painfully ill at her home in this place for a year past, five months of which she has been confined to her bed and suffering intensely, passed away last Saturday; at the age of 66 years, 4 months and 27 days. She leaves a husband, son L. H. Owens, and daughter, Mrs. Amy Sanctuary of Clarence, Iowa, besides her sister, Mrs. Stacy, of Davenport Iowa. The funeral was from the Presbyterian church at 3 o’clock last Monday, conducted by Rev. Buchanan, and the body was taken to Clarence for interment. Mr. Owens and son Ward, and Mrs. Stacy accompanying Mrs. Sanctuary and Mr. Irvine upon the sad mission of laying their loved one to rest. Mrs. Irvine was a loving wife and mother. Mr. Irvine has the sympathy of all in his great bereavement. The family desires to extend their sincere thanks to neighbors and friends for many acts of kindness to Mrs. Irvine during her last illness.

Mrs. Henry Irvine died at her home in East Colfax Saturday July 14, 1906, after a long illness. She has been confined to the house for the past five months and her life for some weeks has been despaired of.
The funeral occurred at the Presbyterian church Monday afternoon and her pastor Rev. D. D. Buchanan conducted the services after which the remains were taken to Clarence for burial, accompanied by her son L. H. Owens and grandson Ward Owens.
Mrs. Priscilla Jane (Austin) Irvine was born in Boone county near Libtum, Indiana, March 17, 1840. Besides her husband she is survived by two children by her former marriage, Lewis Henry Owens of Colfax and Amy Eloise Sanctuary of Clarence, Iowa.
