Delmar Kintz Died January 25
Delmar Emmett Kintz, 56, died Saturday, Jan. 25th of a heart attack at his home here.
Mr. Kintz spent his youth in Colfax and attended the Colfax schools. He later lived in Des Moines, residing there twenty years before moving back to Colfax in 1964.
The son of James Ora and Marguerite Alemita Houghton Kintz, he was born Feb. 7, 1912 at Des Moines.
Mr. Kintz was a mechanic and was employed at Whitted Implement and Tractor Co. in Monroe. He served as a policeman in Colfax, starting in 1939 for a few years and again in 1966 for about a year.
He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Pentecostal Church of Des Moines.
He was married to Rose Almira Garrett May 29, 1937 at Newton.
Surviving are his wife, Rose; a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Louise Clark of San Diego, Calif.; two grandsons; six brothers, Chauncey of Des Moines, Virgil Ora of Del Norte, Colo., Charles of Dunkerton, Robert of Colfax, Clyde of Camp Pendleton, Calif., and David of South San Francisco, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Annis of Colfax.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. in Walters Funeral Home at Colfax.
The Rev. David Houghton of Des Moines conducted the services.
Mrs. Dwight Houghton was the soloist and organist.
Pallbearers were Vernon Bucklin, Bill Buckroyd, Dean Kletting, Durlyn Lester, Robert Luther and Jack McCormick.
Military rites were by Jones-Willis American Legion Post.
Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.

Our heartfelt thanks to neighbors, friends and relatives for the many kind acts of sympathy extended us at the death of our husband, father and brother. The lovely floral tributes, cards and all other thoughtful deeds have been very sincerely appreciated. Mrs. Rose Kintz; Mrs. Louise Clark; Mrs. Phyllis Annis; Bob, Dave, Chauncey and Charles Kintz.
