Nell, Paul 53, Dies Jan. 7th
Paul Gayford Nell, 53, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 7, 1969 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He was in the hospital a day.
Mr. Nell had been a resident of Colfax since 1942.
The son of Charles and Pheba Washburn Nell, he was born May 23, 1916, at Marshfield, Mo.
He was married to Lora Day, March 16, 1941, at Cedar Bluff, Mo.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Nelpha) Owens of Mingo, Janie Nell at home, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Sliger of Altoona; five sons, Paul Kenneth, James Robert, Tony, John and Joe, all of Colfax; twelve grandchildren; three brothers, Cecil Nell of Phoenix, Ariz., Ervin Nell of Memphis, Tenn., Oscar Nell of Springfield, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Josephine) Lopez of California and Mrs. Carl (Betty) Burks of Marshfield, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. in Walters Funeral Home at Colfax. The Rev. Charles Wilder, minister of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.
