Brother-in-Law Of Resident Dies
Roy Garland, 61, of South Holland, Ill. died Monday morning after several weeks hospitalization.
He is the brother-in-law of Mrs. Claude Stevens of Colfax. His wife was the former Bertha Wade.
Surviving him are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Dean Trichler and two grandchildren of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Graveside rites will be held Thursday afternoon (today) at 2:00 at the Colfax Cemetery. Rev. Charles Reed of the Colfax Baptist church will officiate.

Death of Roy Garland
Roy Garland, 64, of South Holland, Ill., died Monday, April 10th following a short illness.
He was born August 20, 1896 at Chicago, Ill. Prior to his illness he was employed as a millwright at the Ford plant in South Holland. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 12th at 1:30 p.m. at the DeYoung Chapel in South Holland. Rev. T. F. Zandstra officiated at the service. Graveside services were held Thursday afternoon, April 13th at the Colfax Cemetery. Rev. Charles Reed of the Baptist church conducted the service. Military rites were held by the Jones-Willis American Legion post of Colfax.
Surviving Mr. Garland are his wife, the former Bertha Wade of Colfax; a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Alma) Trichler of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two grandchildren and two brothers, Robert and Claude Garland of Los Angeles, Calif.
