Bonnie Renfro, Colfax, Dies; Rites Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. George (Bonnie) Renfro, 85, a resident of Colfax since 1957, were held Monday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Jim Pemble, pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, conducted services. Burial was in the McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Casket bearers were Bruce Wood, Ronnie Holdefer, Pete Smith, Paul Smith, Danny McNeer and Harold Smith. Mike Holdefer and Matt McLain were honorary bearers.
She died Friday, Sept. 14, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Survivors are two sons, Russell and Lee, both of Colfax; 10 grandchildren, including Mrs. Russell (Karen) Lewis and Ray Renfro, both of Colfax, who made their home with Mrs. Renfro; 18 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Harold Arney of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969, parents, a son, Raymond, a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Renfro, a member of the Union Christian Church in Princeton, Mo., had been a former employee of Colfax restaurants.
The daughter of George and Benoni Godfrey Arney, she was born Jan. 30, 1894 in Missouri.
She was married Sept. 13, 1909 in Spickard, Mo.
