Rites Held for Former Resident
Mrs. Hans (Alice) Schmidt, 84, of Long Beach, Calif., a former resident of Colfax, died recently at Long Beach.
Survivors are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Oliver Darrock of Colfax; and three nieces, Mrs. Donald Peterson of Knoxville, Miss Linda Darrock of Colfax and Mrs. Jack Gearhart of Gresham, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Schmidt was a member of the Baptist Church.
The daughter of Henry and Sarah Lewis Darrock, she was born Feb. 17, 1891 at Givin.
Graveside rites were held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 19, at the Colfax Cemetery.
