When they moved back to the United States, she returned to Colfax.
She was an active member of the Methodist Church, the Women’s Society of Christian Service, the Rose of Sharon Chapter of Eastern Star, Chapter B.A., P.E.O., and served ten years on the Colfax Library Board.
Her son died in October, 1980, and she is survived by her daughter-in-law (the former Barbara Doyle), five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She would prefer donations made to the Cancer Research Foundation instead of flowers.
