Allison W. Ervin Died Sept. 25th
Services for Allison Winfield Ervin, 88, resident of Colfax since 1890, were held Monday, Sept. 28, 1970, at 2 p.m. in Walters Funeral Home in Colfax.
Mr. Ervin died Friday, Sept. 25th at the Gardner Custodial Home in Colfax where he had resided since November 1965.
The son of Winfield Scott and Nancy Dearinger Ervin, he was born March 12, 1882, at Lynnville.
He was married to Nancy Baysinger in 1910 at Newton.
Surviving are a son, Albert J. Ervin of Colfax and a brother, Albert W. Ervin of Colfax.
The Rev. Gaylon Decious, minister of the Colfax Christian Church, officiated at the services.
The bearers were: Jack Good, Howard Highley, William Hughes, Harold Taylor, Tom Wilson and Henry Withers.
Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.
