Death of Former Resident
Findley H. Anderson, 87, a former resident of this city and a brother of Mrs. E. E. Black died Thursday, Dec. 18th at Santa Rosa, Calif., where he had made his home the past ten years with his daughter, Mrs. C. A. (Harlene) Kirsling.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Anderson, he was born at Springhill, Iowa, Nov. 7, 1882. He came with his family to reside in Colfax in 1898.
Mr. Anderson graduated from Colfax High School in 1900. He was employed at the Post Office and later at the Citizens State Bank in this city for a number of years. Before he retired and moved to California he had resided in Des Moines.
He was married to Ethel Whitaker in 1909 at Colfax. His wife preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. C. A. Kirsling of Santa Rosa, Calif., two grandsons; a brother, Palmer Anderson of Minneapolis, Minn.; and two sisters, Mrs. H. S. (Edna) Rush of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. E. E. (Carol) Black of Colfax.
Funeral services and burial were held Saturday at Santa Rosa. Calif.
