Wife of Former Resident Died in Des Moines
Mrs. Marvin O. (Patricia Ann) Yoakum, 38, of Des Moines, wife of a former Colfax resident, died Monday, Sept. 9th in the Des Moines General hospital. She had been in the hospital four days.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (today) in Walters Funeral home at Colfax.
The Rev. Ronald McLacas of Des Moines will conduct the services. Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Harold, Richard and Marvin R. at home; her mother, Mrs. Vera Weaver of Madrid; three sisters, Mrs. Audrey Wise of Saint Charles, Mrs. Mildred Lettington of Des Moines and Mrs. Marjorie Bartik of Corwith; and a brother, Donald Weaver of Des Moines.
The daughter of Glenn and Vera Johnson Weaver, she was born Sept. 15, 1929 at Bevington.
She attended school at Bevington.
She was married to Marvin O. Yoakum on May 21, 1952 at Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Yoakum was a member of Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at Martensdale.
