Earl M. Fenn Dies Saturday
Earl M. Fenn, 64, a resident of Newton since 1949, died Saturday morning, October 2, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. H. Eugene Cedarholm, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society will be accepted.
Survivors are a son, Lowell of Penticton, British Colombia, Canada; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Keithen) Thompson of Ballwin, Mo.; three grandchildren, Aimee Keithen Fenn and Earl Michael Fenn, both of Penticton, British Colombia, and Chad Erik Thompson of Ballwin, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Frances) Fox of Newton and Mrs. John (Lillian Keithen) Bower of Shelburn, Nova Scotia, Canada; and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Sarah G. Dodd of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia, June 5, 1975; and an infant sister, Elvina Keithen Fenn.
Mr. Fenn, an employe of the Maytag Co. for 27 years, was a member of the Maytag 25-year Club and the Izaak Walton League.
The son of Edmond C. and Martha Danielson Fenn, he was born May 11, 1912, in Roland.
He was married to Virginia J. Dodd November 16, 1935 in Newton.
