Death of Mrs. Margaret Wilcox
Mrs. Margaret Wilcox was born at Wellington, county of Durham, England, in 1867, and was converted and joined the M.E. church and continued a faithful member until four years ago she joined the Baptist church. The deceased was a great sufferer for several years. The “pale hors and its rider, Death” entered their home on the 27th day of September 1916, at Ankeny, Iowa. The remains were brought to Colfax on Friday September 29th, when the funeral services were held at the Baptist church. There were many manifestations of sympathy and respect. Interment took place at Colfax cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, James Wilcox, Mrs. Adris Mable and Sarah Wilcox, daughters; Reynolds and James Wilcox, sons and James Clarkson, her aged father; Mrs. Isabel Clark her sister and William Clarkson a brother, of Colfax and Mrs. Tom Meadows, sister of Ankeny; Mrs. H. Morland, of Hocking, Mrs. Henry Howe, sister; Mrs. Mary Ann Combs, of Eldora and John A. Bell, of Seevers. The floral offerings were most beautiful.
