Mrs. Walter Jones, Jr., Died Thursday
Funeral Services Were Held Sunday Afternoon From Methodist Church
Mrs. Walter Jones Jr., passed away Thursday evening at her home in this city, following an illness of several months. She had been a sufferer of cancer and everything possible was done by her family to get relief, but to no avail. She was returned from the hospital at Iowa City on Monday, where she had been taking treatments.
Mrs. Jones had been a resident of Colfax for about eighteen years and was the mother of three daughters and two sons, the youngest child being about six years of age.
Losie Minnie Brown was born in Casey, Iowa, November 18, 1888. She passed away at her home in Colfax, Iowa, November 12, 1931, age 42 years, 11 months, and twenty-four days.
She was united in marriage to Walter L. Jones at Colfax, Iowa.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Walter L. Jones of Colfax, and five children: Mrs. Frank Warrick, Yvonne, Marion, Junior, and Verna, all of Colfax. Also her father, John Brown of Des Moines, and three sisters, Mrs. Arnold Liddell and Mrs. O. M. Bell of Des Moines, and Mrs. Guy Simpson of Newton, together with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church with Rev. L. C. McDonald, pastor officiating. Interment was made at Highland Cemetery.
Pall bearers were R. F. Agar, Luke Sharples, R. H. Sandy, R. E. Cummings, Charles Kennedy and John Cairns. The music was burnished by Mrs. Earl Plummer, Mrs. George Rinker, Maynard and Chester Binkerd, and Mrs. John Porter, Mrs. Joe laws and Mrs. R. F. Agar were in charge of the flowers.
