Death of David Cochran
The veteran of the Civil War, Co. K, Ninth Iowa Cavalry, Mr. David Cochran died in Oskaloosa, Wednesday of last week at 7:30 p.m. He left Colfax Feb. 15 and expected to go to Missouri for a visit after a short stop in Oskaloosa.
He was taken with gall stones followed by pneumonia and lived but a few days. He was buried there last Saturday and his relatives here were not notified in time to go to the funeral. He was a member of E. D. Duncan Post.
