The funeral for Mrs. Henry Jensen was held yesterday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the home six miles northwest of town. The services were conducted by Rev. W. Dieffenbach. Songs were sung by Misses Minnie Hesson, Ethel Seyforth, Earl Hadley and William Murdock, with Mrs. Earl Hadley at the organ. The pallbearers were Henry Otto, Paul Schuman, John Greibel, Charles Mackerman and Henry Tiedje.

There were many beautiful flowers and floral pieces, which were sent by friends and relatives of the deceased. Among those attending, for it was a large funeral, were her daughter, Mrs. Louis Iske and husband of La Platte, Neb., her sisters Mesdames Clara Hanson and Laura Willhoff, a brother Ernest Schmidt of Davenport, and Charles Schmidt, a cousin from Melbourne.

The remains were laid to rest in the Newton Cemetery. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, Saturday, March 2, 1907, Page 1, Column 2
