Mrs. Ellen Seely, after an illness of several months from liver troubles, died Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Gill, four miles west of Newton.
Mrs. Seely was seventy-seven years old and for some time had made her home here, coming from Union, Ill., where the body was taken last evening for burial. Her son, L. Seely, of Mo., who was called here by her death, accompanied the remains.
Short funeral services were held at the daughter’s home yesterday afternoon, Dr. J. A. Sinner, Seven Day Adventist, officiating. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, Thursday, January 10, 1907, Page 1, Column 1
