Last evening Mr. Frank Wilson and family arrived from their former home at Galesburg, Ill., with the body of the son, Merritt, whose death occurred last Saturday by drowning. This morning a beautiful short service was held at the home of a brother, Hal Wilson. Rev. W. W. Hess, who officiated, was assisted in the service by the Presbyterian Church Choir. Beautiful flowers lent their beauty to the solemn scene, many of them being sent by sympathizing friends. ~ The Newton Daily News, Wednesday, December 12, 1906, Page 1, Column 4
