BAILEY, COUCH, LEVET

The remains of James W. Bailey, of this city and son-in-law of Mrs. Sarah Couch of Des Moines, were brought to Newton last evening on No. 6, and this morning at 10 o’clock the interment took place at the Newton Cemetery, the services at the grave being in charge of the Masons, of which order he was a member.

Deceased was well known in this city. He was married here to Miss Hattie Couch, whose death occurred at Chicago about six years ago.

For the past five years Mr. Bailey has been an inmate of the insane asylum at Lincoln. His death occurred last Saturday evening.

The remains were accompanied to Newton by his father, D. I. Bailey, and his brother-in-law, Mr. Levet, of Lincoln, Neb.

Mrs. Sarah Couch arrived from Des Moines yesterday and was here for the interment services today. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, IA, Monday, August 27, 1906, Page 4, Column 2
