William Reynolds Dies at Oakdale
William Glenn Reynolds, 64, long-time resident of Newton and a Maytag Co. employee for 27 years, died at 9:25 a.m. today at the Oakdale Sanatorium.
Mr. Reynolds entered the tuberculosis sanatorium at Oakdale only two months ago.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed but rites probably will be held at the Toland Funeral Home Thursday afternoon with burial at Newton Union cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. John Berrell of Newton, Mrs. Paul Nichols of Newton and Mrs. Mildred Williams of Moline, Ill.; two sons, Marion Reynolds of Longview, Wash., and Glenn Reynolds of Newton, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Four brothers, Tom Reynolds of Newton, Joe Reynolds of Montana, Harry Reynolds of Longview, Wash., and Pete Reynolds of Des Moines, and two sisters, Mrs. J. Smith of Lorimor and Mrs. Seth Bellwood of California, also survive.
He was a member of the Lutheran church and the Maytag 25-Year club.
The son of Charles and Martha Reynolds, he was born in Newton July 29, 1889.

Reynolds Rites Set for Thursday
Funeral services for William Glenn Reynolds, 64, who died yesterday at Oakdale Sanatorium, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Toland Funeral Home.
The Rev. John Schlieprsiek of Iowa City will officiate at the services and burial will be in Newton Union cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Loris Baker, Richard Baker, Oscar Umbarger, Orville Hannagan, Earl Schrull and Doc Antle.
In charge of flowers will be Mrs. Earl Schrull and Mrs. Loris Baker.
The soloist, Marion Welle, will be accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Paul Murdy.

Reynolds Rites Are Held Today
Funeral services for William G. Reynolds, 64, life-time Newton resident who died Monday at the Oakdale Sanatorium, were held today at Toland Funeral home.
The Rev. John Schlieprsiek of Iowa City officiated at the services and burial was in Newton Union cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Williams of Moline, Ill., two sons, Marion of Longview, Wash., and Glen of Newton; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Paul Nichols and Mrs. John Barele; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Four brothers and two sisters also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
