As per David’s wishes he has been cremated and no services are scheduled.

David Ray Large, the son of Charles Ray and Avis Marie Kennis Large, was born on July 10, 1958 in Newton, Iowa. He was a graduate of Newton High School in 1976.

David was a production worker at the Maytag Company in Newton for 30 years. He liked old cars and enjoyed going to the GOODGUYS Rod and Custom Association events.

David died on Friday, February 9th at his residence in Newton. He was 59. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Avis M. Kennis Large stepmother, Diana Bakalar and brother-in-law, Randy Valentine.

Those left to honor David’s memory are his children, Roxanne (JT) Kimbell of Kirkland, Washington and Ryan Large of Washington state; two grandchildren, his sisters, Christy (Chuck) Trullinger of Urbandale and Sue Valentine of Adel; nieces and nephew, Jennifer (Ryan) Wood, Dawn (Kendal) Madsen and Aaron (Kim) Valentine and three great nieces and three great nephews. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa Fri 09 Feb 2018.
