Mrs. C. Pedgett Rites Held Monday
Mrs. Charles (Mary) Pedgett, 60, of 390 Monk St., Des Moines, a former resident of Jasper County, passed away Friday, August 18, at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were conducted August 1 in Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe.
The Rev. Wayne K. Anderson, minister of the Monroe Baptist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Gifford Cemetery.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Roma Lee) Harper of Newton; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Jessie) Steinman of Moberly, Mo., Mrs. Vernon (Dorothy) Wearmouth of Reasnor, and Mrs. Richard (Orabess) Jones of Newton; and a brother, Clifford Romans of Oxnard, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Carl and Harlan Romans, and a daughter in infancy.
The daughter of Clyde and Mary Romans, she was born November 25, 1906, at Mitchellville and was a resident of Newton, Reasnor and Galesburg areas for many years.
