Calista M. Putz, the daughter of Larry F. and Carolyn J. Barr Putz, was born on October 25, 1978 in Des Moines. She was a graduate of Newton High School in 1997.

She loved animals, especially her cats. She also collected figurines, liked listening to music and watching movies.

Calista died on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry F. “Moe” Putz on December 28, 2017; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Those left to cherish Calista’s memory are her mom, Carolyn of Newton; sister, Shelly Putz of Newton; and brother, Dan (Kelly) Putz of Newton. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa Thur 4 Jan 2018.
