Howard George Shore, 81, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 15, 2015 surrounded by his family at Kavanagh on 56th.

Howard was born February 23, 1933 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Chester J. and Flossie M. (Cooper) Shore. He was a resident of Des Moines since 1962 and was owner of AADM Safe Way Pest Control. Howard was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, the Izaak Walton League, and Knights of Columbus.

Howard is survived by his children, Mark, Rhonda (Steve) Fucaloro, Joseph (Katie), Terri Vitiritto, and Gregory; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph; and sister, Anna Marie Benjamin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene; sister, Marjorie Reynolds; his father; his mother; and his step-father, Rev. Ray Johnson.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Family will begin greeting friends at 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m. Burial of cremated remains at Highland Memory Gardens will follow the memorial service.
