=============================
The following clipped from the Prairie City News tells of the death of Florence, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Moore of Prairie City. Florence often spent several weeks in this city at the home of her grandmother Mrs. Bollhoefer, and was loved by older ones, as well as her little friends she met here.

Florence Edith Moore, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Moore, was born in Prairie City, June 6, 1899, and died after a short illness of catarrhal pneumonia January 25, 1906, at 11 o’clock a.m., aged 6 years, 7 months and 13 days.

The above short obituary tells the story of a sweet, patient life that brought joy to all who knew her. Florence had never seemed strong and well like her playmates, and her very weakness endeared her the more to those who loved her for her sweet, childish ways and gentle disposition. Now she is at peace, where no illness of sorrow can come, and her memory lingers like the fragrance of a flower to remind us of a sweet child whose mission on earth was accomplished.

The funeral services were held at the home on Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Proctor. Besides those present from this vicinity, there were Mrs. A. C. Bollhoefer and Misses Mary, Emma and *** Bollhoefer of Newton, Ed Bollhoefer of Colfax, Mrs. Ben Cope and Sarah Whitaker of Bondurant and Mrs. F. A. Cope of Des Moines and Harry Stayner of Colfax. ~ The Newton Daily News, Friday, February 2, 1906, Page 4, Column 1
