Des Moines – Funeral services for Ruth Pauline Rodriguez, 36, of 2100 Searle St., Des Moines, a former resident of Newton, were held Friday, Sept. 19, at the First Assembly of God in Des Moines. Burial was in the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Military honor services were conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps I and I Staff and Echo Co.
Memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Iowa will be accepted.
Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines handled arrangements.
She died Wednesday at her home in Des Moines.
Survivors are her husband, Jesse J.; two sons, Robert Wayne and Rory Brandon, both at home; a daughter, Rebecca Adean, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bayse of Russellville, Ark.; four sisters, Virginia Etten of Irving, Tex., Janice Joggerst of Wheaton, Ill., Wanda Cartwright of Sorsogon, the Philippines; and Barbara Holmber of India; and her grandmother, Myrtle Cramer of Stockton, Mo.
Mrs. Rodriquez, a member of the Purple Heart Auxiliary, United States Marine Corps League Auxiliary, the Disabled American Veterans and First Assembly of God, had been a secretary and clerk for the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
She was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
The daughter of Howard and Elizabeth Bayse, she was born in Storm Lake. She was a 1968 graduate of Newton Community High School and was graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville.
She was married in 1971 in Newton.
