Last Saturday evening word was received in this city that Charles H. Hook died at his home at Ft. Collins, Colorado, Thursday evening, November 23, at 6 o’clock.

He had been talking with his wife, and leaning back in the chair death came without a struggle, a moment and all was over.

In a letter received from the mother, to her son, Fay Hook of this city, which was written the morning he died, she said, “Your father said this morning that he felt as though he must go back to bed, and he felt if he did so, he would never get up again.”

Mr. Hook was a resident of Jasper County many years.
