This morning at 6 o’clock, Daisy Dolbey died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Dolbey on East Washington Street. Daisy had been suffering with the grip for several weeks. Two weeks ago Sunday she started to go to the Mission School in North Newton, where she taught a class, but found that she did not have the strength to do so, and returned home. Only since Sunday has she been confined to her bed. Arrangements for the funeral will not be made until word has been received from relatives, who are expected will attend. ~ The Newton Daily News, Wednesday, November 22, 1905, Page 1, Column 2

=================================
The funeral of Miss Daisy Dolby was at the Free Methodist Church, on North and Market Streets, yesterday at 2:30 p.m. There was a number of relatives and friends present to pay their last tribute of respect to the model young Christian lady who had passed to her reward. Rev. J. S. Booton, pastor of the Free Methodist Church, preached the funeral sermon, taking as his text Romans 8:35. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” Rev. Booton’s words were touchingly appropriate and in keeping with the life of Miss Dolby. ~ The Newton Daily News, Saturday, November 25, 1905, Page 1, Column 3
