Services Sunday For S. V. Castor, Former Ira Man
Ira (Special) – Funeral services for Seward V. Castor, 58, former Jasper county resident who died Sunday in Tacoma, Wash., will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Purcel Funeral Home in Marshalltown.
Mr. Castor went to school at Ira as a youth, went into World War I from there and was a railroad telegrapher many years, living in and around Ira and Marshalltown.
He retired two years ago and moved to Tacoma. Burial will be in the Union Chapel cemetery west of Ira.
