Minnie Korff, 83, Dies Thursday; Rites Saturday

Mrs. Oscar (Minnie) Korff, 83, 1601 N. 2nd Ave. E., lifelong Jasper County resident died Thursday at the Jasper County Home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Eugene Cedarholm, pastor of the church will officiate, and burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at Johnson Funeral Chapel after 4 p.m. today. The casket will be closed at the time of service and will not be reopened.

Memorial contributions to First Lutheran Church will be accepted.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Alice) Garlock of Newton, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Russell (Sandra) Ayers of Detroit, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dec. 13, 1936.

The daughter of Griffin and Martha Ann Stewart Rifenburg, she was born Oct. 10, 1885, in Jasper County and was educated in Jasper County schools.
