Pearson, Eva May Worrall – 1933-2012

Eva May Worrall Pearson, 79, died on November 15, 2012, at the Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Prairie City First Christian Church with burial following at Waveland Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church in Prairie City or Taylor House – Hospice. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
Eva May, was born October 5, 1933, in Knoxville, Iowa, daughter of Delmar and Mary Lasley Worrall. Eva graduated from Knoxville High School in 1951. She married Johnnie Young Pearson of Knoxville, Iowa on December 30th, 1951. She worked in Iowa City at the Children’s Hospital with her sister Twilla, for 18 months. Johnnie and Eva made their home in Prairie City in 1958 where they raised their children. She worked at the First National Bank of Prairie City for many years. Johnnie and Eva attended the Christian Church of Prairie City, where Eva taught Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by sons Mike & Doreen Pearson, of Ankeny, and Steve & Mary Pearson, of Newton, Iowa; grandchildren, Trent Pearson of Des Moines, Ben & Michelle (Pearson) Cole of West Des Moines, Lee & Thep Pearson of Des Moines, and Bobby & Beth (Pearson) Baetzel of Chicago; four great grandchildren Carter & Sophie Pearson of Des Moines, and Sarah & Maryn Cole of West Des Moines. Eva was blessed with seven siblings, and many nephews and nieces.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Pearson (June 2001), her son, Gregory Pearson (January 1967), both of her parents, and two brothers, Delmar Arthur Worrall and Phillip Worrall.
