Services Held Mon. For Arie Ver Huel
Arie Ver Huel, 81, a resident of Newton for the past 18 years died at his home Friday, Dec. 5.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Toland Funeral Home.
The Rev. Arthur Long, minister of the First Methodist church of Newton, conducted the service. Burial was in Monroe cemetery.
Mr. Ver Huel is survived by his wife and a sister, Mrs. Louisa Anderson of Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
He was a member of the Methodist church.
The son of John and Sarah Ver Huel, he was born February 1, 1882 at Pella.
He was married to Lucy Wilhelm February 22, 1911 in Newton.
A retired farmer, Mr. Ver Huel resided in Newton, Jasper county for 78 years.
