John E. Mullihan was born September 3rd, 1909, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mullihan at Mingo, Iowa, aged 27 years, 10 months and 3 days.
He spent his childhood and young manhood around Mingo, Collins and Maxwell, attending different grade schools and the Maxwell high school. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Maxwell.
He was married in April 1933, at Nevada to Gladys Henich, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mullihan of Collins, a sister, Mrs. Henry Runyan of Colfax, two brothers, Marion Mullihan of Baxter and James at home, and two sisters, Dorothy and Delores at home.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from Ashton Chapel with Rev. Logan of Newton officiating.
Interment was in the Collins cemetery.
Pall bearers were Gaylord Clark, John Sumpter, Benny Sumpter, Ray Kopt, Howard Minear and Dwight Harris.
Music was selected solos by Mrs. Ray Goodwin of Maxwell and Mrs. Alfred Tobias of Colfax.
