Yesterday occurred the death of little Katie Verhool at the home of her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hill, of obstruction of the bowels. One year ago her mother died leaving Mr. Verhool with a large family. Into their large Christian hearts and beautiful home Mr. and Mrs. Hill took little Katie and baby Jennie, aged ten and seven years, all that love and comfort was given them, no want unsatisfied. The children clung to them and cemented a perfect parental love. Sunday, Katie took suddenly ill; grew worse til death took the little sufferer. She was an unusual bright child; very pretty and loving which makes the death so heavy, on her loved ones. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 3 o’clock from the M.E. church. Mr. Verhool, father of the little girl was stricken with heart failure at her death and it was greatly feared would not recovery but is some better this morning.
