Obituary – Mrs. C. B. Kimberley
Leola May Coakley, beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Coakley of Mingo, Ia., was born April 17, 1926 at Iowa City, Ia., and passed away Nov. 11, 1960 at the age of 34 years, 7 months and 25 days, in the Boone hospital in Boone, Ia.
On July 4, 1947, she was united in marriage to C. B. Kimberley of Collins, Ia. To this union 4 children were born, Marsha, Donald, Roger and Denise.
She spent most of her married life on a farm near Collins; in 1956 they moved to Boone where they have lived since.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Boone. In 1957 she underwent an operation at Des Moines, Ia. and since that time she has been an invalid.
Although through all her suffering and many handicaps she never once complained of her ill health or her pain, she always had a smile for everyone and always kind and loving to her family and many friends. Her thoughts were only of the welfare of her family.
She leaves to mourn, her husband and four children of Boone, her mother, Mrs. Ada Coakley of Mingo, Ia., two sisters, Mrs. Richard Maher (Doris) of Mingo, Mrs. John DeNato (June) of Newton, Iowa, one brother, Earl Coakley, Jr. of Chicago, Ill., several nieces and nephews, relatives and a host of many friends, who all admired her greatly for her wonderful personality and her bright spirit of life.
Her father preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1936.
(A poem was included.)
