Laren Kathryn Colville, 5-year-old daughter of Ginny and William Colville of Colfax, died of meningitis Friday at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Colfax.
Lauren was born in Mason City and lived in Des Moines before moving to Colfax two years ago. She was a kindergarten student at Colfax-Mingo Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, also surviving are three sisters, Felice Colville of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Ellen Colville and Carly Colville, both at home; her grandparents, Willis and Kathryn Colville of Mason City and Marjorie and Dean Walker of Marble Rock, and her great-grandmother, Amelia Leuenberger of Marble Rock.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Memorial contributions may be made to Colfax-Mingo Elementary Music Department.
