Mrs. Peter Frahm Dies Yesterday; Services Friday
Mrs. Peter Frahm, 86, a longtime resident of northern Jasper county, died at 2:45 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Frahm home place 10 miles northeast of Newton. A heart ailment was the cause of death.
Prayer services will be held at 1:15 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Morgan Funeral Home in Newton, and funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock at St. John’s Evangelical church northeast of Newton. Rev. Emil Burrichter will officiate at the services. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Stock, Mrs. Frahm was born in Germany in 1862. When she was only two and one-half years old, she came to the United States with her parents and they settled at Quincy, Ill. As a young girl she moved to Jasper county and had lived here since. She received her education in the schools of the county and was married to the late Peter Frahm, pioneer farmer.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical church.
Survivors include four sons, John, Fred and Will at home and Herman of Newton; four daughters, Lizzie at home, Mrs. John Hanthorn of Rhodes, Mrs. Carl Bach of Baxter and Mrs. Albert Osten of Newton; 10 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, Norman Osten, Elden Morris and Bill and Johnnie Passerilli. She was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie and Henry.
