Conrad Schaumberg Dies After Lingering Illness at Andrew Conn Home
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon from the United Presbyterian church for Conrad Schaumberg, who died Thursday evening after a long illness suffering aliments due to the infirmities of old age.
He was 81 years of age and for more than 50 years was a resident of Jasper county. For many years he was engaged in the brick manufacturing business west of the Rock Island tracks.
Mr. Schaumberg was always booster for the city in which he was a prominent citizen. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church and a devout Christian.
He leaves his daughter Mrs. Andrew Conn with whom he has been making his home, and his daughters, Mrs. Alvin Schneck of Detroit; Mrs. William Thompson, of Chicago; his sons, Charles, William and Henry Schaumberg, all of Newton.
