Robert Shadley Services Today; Dies on Friday
COLFAX – Funeral services for Robert Shadley, 55, a longtime resident of Colfax, were held today at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Jim Pemble, pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, conducted services. Burial was in Colfax Cemetery where graveside rites were conducted by Jones-Willis Post of the Colfax American Legion.
Mr. Shadley died Friday evening at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Florence Shadley of Colfax; two brothers, Loial Shadley of Orlando, Fla., and Lee Shadley of Newton; and two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Lucille) Gaskill of Mitchellville and Mrs. Walter (Daralee) Price of Texas City, Tex.
He was preceded in death by his father, four brothers, Rex, Alvin, Willard and Leslie, and a sister, Clarice.
Mr. Shadley was a member of the United Methodist church in Colfax and the Jones-Willis Post of the American Legion.
The son of Earl and Florence Collister Shadley, he was born Dec. 8, 1925 at Curlew.
