Vernon Ware Died Wed.; Services Fri.
Vernon Ware, 74, a resident of Newton since moving from Colfax in 1960, died Wednesday morning, March 5, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of the First Christian Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Pearl; two daughters, Evelyn and Judy Ware, both of Newton; a brother, John Ware; and three sisters, Mrs. Basil (Betty) Swaim of Ottumwa, Mrs. Howard (Evelyn) Highley of Colfax, and Mrs. Jack (Della) Cox of Baxter.
