Obituary
David Clyde Wilson, youngest son of Gavin and Jane Wilson, was born in Marion County, near Monroe, Iowa, April 26, 1879 and departed this life on July 17, 1957, at the age of 78 years.
On February 26, 1902, he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Johnston and to this union were born four children: Mrs. Leo Walker of Prairie City, Floyd D., Forrest J., and Mrs. Cordella Van Wyngarden, all of Monroe.
His entire life was spent in this vicinity and all 54 years of his married life on the same farm in the Pleasant Hill vicinity until moving 8 months ago to their new home in Prairie City. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.
Mr. Wilson has been in failing health for the past six years and all that loving hands and medical skill could do proved of no avail.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers, six sisters, and one grandson, Jack Wilson.
Left to mourn his passing, besides the wife and four children are two daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, nine grandchildren, five great grandsons, many nieces and nephews and a myriad of friends.
