Funeral Services Held for Ira Honnold
Ira Honnold, a lifelong resident of Monroe, died Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ben Van Wyk, of Monroe after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Monroe Presbyterian church.
Neal Armstrong, minister of the church, assisted by the Rev. Donald Brong, minister of the Monroe Baptist church, conducted the services.
Music was provided by Mrs. Letha Gloyd on the piano. She accompanied Mrs. Thelma Lewis as she sang.
Pallbearers were Burton Zerley, Ted Reetz, James Munson, Oakley Cowman, Bert Spoelstra and Howard DeHaai.
Burial was in Monroe cemetery.
Mr. Honnold is survived by two sons, Wilbur Dale and Devayne of Monroe; and a daughter, Mrs. Ben (Irma Nell) Van Wyk of Monroe.
Mr. Honnold was born February 21, 1883.
