BAXTER - Funeral services for Nathaniel Robert Hayes, 15, of 6334 N.W. 95th Ave., Baxter, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at the Bethany United Church of Christ, east of Baxter.
The Rev. Marie Patrick, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He died Monday at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Memorials to a fund in his name will be accepted.
Survivors are his parents, Darrel and Rose Hayes of Baxter, a brother, Clayton of Marshalltown, and his paternal grandmother, Katheryn Hayes of Colo.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.
The son of Darrel and Rose Brightwell Hayes, he was born Aug. 1, 1978 in Marshalltown. A 10th grader in Baxter Community High School, he was educated in Baxter area schools.
